In 1984, under the guise of Josiah Spaulding, we began to write and produce our own material which Joe submitted to people he new at Ploydor records .We were told,.... ..although they liked the material we submitted, they were looking for something more like the "Petshop Boys" who were the #1 act that year. Well we weren't the PSB's  but looking at the photos on this page we could've been. These shots were from a promo session Josiah paid for at Vogue studios in Boston. What an afternoon that was. I couldn't fit one leg into those blue jeans today. This was the start of a life long friendship and collaboration between John and I.
